Six Mom Hacks for the Perfect Beach Day

July 23, 2018

1. BRING BABY POWDER

Sprinkle some baby power on hands and feet for quick and easy sand removal.

2. WRAP YOUR VALUABLES IN A DIAPER

Holding down the sand-fort to watch over valuables can really put a damper on your beach day. Join your little ones in the waves, by wrapping your wallet, keys, smartphone, and other pricey possessions in a diaper! It will appear as if it’s been used and we absolutely guarantee no one will touch it.

3. SIT ON A FITTED SHEET

A fitted sheet’s elastic edge works perfectly to keep sand out and prevent it from blowing away. Simply pin all four corners with your coolers and bags to create a nearly sand-free area.

4. TURN YOUR STEERING WHEEL

Parking in the sun? Save your hands from a post-beach day burn by turning your steering wheel 180 degrees. That way when you’re ready to leave, the area of the steering wheel that you use won’t burn your hands.

5. DRESS YOUR KID LIKE A SURFER

There is no bigger struggle then applying sunscreen to a toddler! Between the tantrums and shake and bake incidents, minimizing this can make a beach day less stressful for all parties involved. Ditch the block by dressing them in surfer clothes, which are typically made out of a fast-drying, breathable material that blocks the sun’s damaging rays.

6. BRING BALLOONS

If your kids’ ears get plugged with water after a swim, have them gently blow into a deflated balloon three or four times. This will force the water out, saving you and your beach babe from an ear ache.
